How to make a honey cake "Napoleon"

  • - 1 tbsp. spoon brandy.
Start by making yeast-free puff pastry. Take a pan with a thick bottom and melt the butter over low heat. Add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar, add honey. Heat, stirring, about 4-5 minutes. Make sure that the sugar has dissolved completely and the mixture has become homogeneous.
Continuing to stir, add sour cream to the butter-sugar mixture. Heat for no more than one minute, then remove from heat. Take the mixer with the nozzle to knead the dough. Add the chicken eggs to the saucepan and knead the mixture to ensure uniformity.
Sift the flour along with the baking powder and pour in a thin stream, continuing to knead.Add cognac and season with salt. Now manually knead the soft, plastic dough. When it stops sticking to your hands, divide it into eight equal pieces and roll each into a compact ball. Wrap them with cling film and refrigerate for an hour or so.
Take out the balls of dough one by one. Roll each out into a circle on a slightly floured working surface, chop with a fork and send for 5-7 minutes in an oven preheated to 180-190 ° C, laying out on a baking tray laid with baking paper.
